Fariba began her artistic adventures as a teenager, experimenting with collages by cutting, tearing and rearranging images from magazines to visually express her feelings and emotions, following elements of design. With a degree in visual arts, she currently resides in Asheville, NC, where she continues to develop her unique style. Fariba has received three artistic awards for her works.

In addition to her expressionistic and abstract mixed media paintings, she enjoys creating captivating mixed media paintings that depict creatures that narrate humorous or touching stories. While her collages explore the interplay of light and dark aspects of life through a profound personal and intimate perspective. Her artwork invites viewers to explore the complexity of joy and pain – each piece, a window into the emotions that shape our human experience.

Fariba has an ardent passion for both local and international art. Since her childhood, Fariba’s extensive visits to European art museums, coupled with an enriching artistic experience, have cultivated a passion for teaching and creating art. The artist finds immense joy in sharing her artwork with others.

“From a young age, my mom inspired me to visit every Art Museum in Europe and every gallery we could find. We would stand in front of amazing art and just let it talk to us. We drank in the pieces like a glass of wine, and their energy stayed with us after we left. Now I enjoy my own work, as well. When I wake up in the morning, I rush to the canvas. I feel so excited to see my artwork with fresh eyes to continue the work.”
