Dale believes that art is a gift that reflects a common bond and reverence for life. “Making art is my path of seeking and reflecting, and the natural world provides mystery, diversity and wonder to inspire me. My hope is to challenge myself and my viewers to look deeply to find the enchantment in our connections and the world.”

Biography
A native of Western North Carolina, Dale has been involved with the visual arts since his training at Mercer University and has continued to evolve as an artist through private studies in the U.S. and Europe, and training at Penland School of Craft.
For over 45 years, Dale has created original well-crafted works inspired by nature, philosophy and the interrelationships we share with all beings. Making art is Dale’s path of seeking and understanding - his authentic way of being in the world. A movement of painters and sculptors identified as “Nature Symbolist” inspires him to create work that is about the spiritual essence and interconnections of the natural world.
His abstract vibrant work is complex and elegant, encouraging viewers to look deeply and discover their own interpretation. .
