Meryl Lefkovich
My painting odyssey has also traveled a diverse road. I taught myself to paint with watercolor, focusing on highly realistic, detailed architecture, based upon my European travels and my life in Boston, MA. Experimenting with acrylics, my work was still highly realistic, but my subject matter changed dramatically and frequently. I recently switched to working in oil, where I feel I am meant to be. Experimentation in each different medium has allowed me to discover different approaches, techniques and continued inspiration and growth.

Biography
I am a self-taught artist based in Asheville, NC by way of the Boston area. Art and design have been both my passion and profession for many years. I have a degree in Art History from Framingham State University. My creative journey has taken me down many paths; art consultant, travel agent, art gallery manager, interior designer and jewelry designer. Painting has been in the fore or background throughout. I am influenced primarily by the natural world, history and transformation; inspiration can come from anywhere at any time.
